HELP A CHILD MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Who we are and what we do

We are a UK based group of professionals who coordinate support for disabled people living in deprived communities across the globe.    Established groups working with disabled people in deprived communities can apply to us for financial and in-kind support based on donations we receive from philanthropists from time to time.  We aim to assist organisations to provide better facilities for disabled people.

In order to qualify, settings must be in a developing country, be in operation for at least 2 years and be working with at least 20 people experiencing  physical or learning difficulties.  Groups are encouraged to read our guidelines before submitting an application.

The Foundation has a number of activity centres, including:

  • Information & Promotion - provide information via telephone, email and other media to organisations
  • Fundraising - responsible for raising funds via the holding of events, sponsorships and donations
  • Collection & distribution - collecting items from donors for shipping to developing countries
  • Training - capacity building and training for members and volunteers as appropriate
  • Grant management - receiving funds and processing grants
  • Administration - coordination and day-to-day running of Camptys Foundation

The Foundation operates from its offices located in East London, United Kingdom.

Services

The Foundation is actively engaged in coordinating financial assistance from organisations and individuals

who are willing and able to help, and transfering it to organisations working with disabled children.

In its endeavour to achieve its aims, Camptys Foundation:

  • Identifies and bids for funds from organisations and individuals offering support for disabled people
  • Award and manages grants to organisations working with disabled people
  • Liaise with individuals to collect regular and adhoc donations to support our chosen cause
  • Collaborate with organisations and individuals to fundraise in order to further our efforts
  • Promote approved items from donor organisations for commission or donation.
  • Provide educational materials and monitor delivery of these to end users

Camptys Foundation explores ways of supporting disabled adults in disadvantaged communities.  We are seeking to develop a holistic service by building capacity to facilitate progression for disabled children. However, the needs of children living with disability and the organisations that seek to empower them are central to the work of the organisation.  With assistance from the wider community Camptys Foundation is able to widen access to disadvantaged, deprived communities to enhance the lives of disabled people by providing facilities that promote education, play, employability and  health, thus enabling these individuals to aspire for a better future.
